Paesan is a rustic Italian restaurant focusing on cucina povera. Very loosely translated, this means "peasant cooking", or better described by the restaurant as "the tradition of using simple ingredients to prepare honest and flavoursome food."
Let’s be honest, it’s about time we saw Grand Union on Upper Street in Islington close its doors for good, and what better is there to fill its shoes then the rocking new, very theatrical and very British cocktail den and restaurant, Hoxley and Porter.
Upper Street in Angel is heaving with a lush selection of eateries and the recently opened Fish & Chip Shop has just added to the hype. Branded as a “posh fish & chips” the inside is all Victorian fish café with booths while the kitchen is visible through an old style fish & chip shop window.
