As we boarded the train we were joined by characters such as Frank, an East End Costermonger, Tilley, a music hall star, Vera, a widow in search of adventure and Cliff, a local antique dealer as they embark on the trip of a lifetime. Taking a seat in the elegant dining car, the set was all plush booth seating lit by period table lamps, looking out windows at the scenery moving beside us.
As the show unfolded (and I won't give anything away) we were served a delicious three course dinner with the menu designed by BBC One’s MasterChef 2016 finalists, Billy and Jack, and cooked by the talented Funicular kitchen.
The Murdér Express' is a classic murder mystery, it will have you guessing, laughing and following along through the hour before the train draws back into Pedley Street Station for more cocktails as the night draws to a close.
Book your seat on board for a night out with a difference.
