Here, there are five different broths to choose from: Black Bird made from a rare breed of black-fleshed chicken and dried Chinese berries; Mala made with Sichuan peppercorns and dried chilli; Herbal River created with prawn heads and fresh lemongrass; Lamb Tonic made with lamb bones and Chinese pickled cabbage; and Temple Brew with soy milk, turnips and mushrooms.
Served up from a sushi-train style conveyer-belt, ingredients available for hot peril in the broth include bowls of thinly sliced free-range British Beef and Pork; Mixed Clams; Sea Bass Slices; Beef and Chicken Balls; Pork and Crab Wontons; Chinese Greens, Leaves and Lotus Roots; shucked to order Fresh Oysters; Queen Scallops; Brown Crab Claws.. and even Fish Head of the Day and Pork Offal Mix, if you dare.
Like most conveyer-belt style restaurants prices are cheap to start, but quickly add up after your 8th blue plate. Aside from the hot pots, there are a selection of starters, drinks and desserts also on offer too. Our one tip to you; be brave, branch out and try the fish heads in your broth, but pace yourself.
