Small plates include Hand dived in-shell Scottish scallops, carrot, cardamom purée and toasted hazelnuts, Yellowfin tuna tartare, mango, avocado, wasabi nori crisps, teriyaki or Hereford beef carpaccio, wild mushrooms, beef jelly, pistachio and smoked garlic pesto. There is also a good selection of oysters and two seafood platters, one hot, one cold.
Large plates include Brixham John Dory, spinach, romanesco, cauliflower purée, saffron & mussel sauce, Scottish venison, smoked potato puree, braised cabbage and thyme gravy and one hell of a Lobster pappardelle, heritage tomatoes, Jerusalem artichokes.
For dessert think Salted caramel tart, green tea ice-cream, chilli & hazelnut praline, White chocolate panna cotta, passion fruit, honeycomb and blackberries or Amaretto and Verona chocolate fondant, cherry compote, mascarpone ice cream.
The not so galley-esque interior combines open plan elegance mixed with vintage chic. The open kitchen and bar features Moroccan style tiles alongside resin flooring, antique mirrors, Bauhaus pendant lights, velvet seating, vintage rugs, and an artwork wall made up of 50 hand-picked pieces.
