We don't have Lima's warm winter weather or pretty plazas but at least we can enjoy their grape brandy pisco at the Pisco Embassy on Upper Street. As London’s only late-night Pisco bar, they’re serving a brilliant selection of these Peruvian cocktails every weekend from midnight - 5am.
The boozy menu has been designed by Pisco specialist and Pisco Embassy ambassador José Francisco-Modonese (previously sommelier at Sushisamba) and offers twists on classics such as the Pisco Embassy Punch and Chicha Sour alongside unique creations made from homemade infusions.
They’ve also ‘pisco-fied’ mojitos, espresso martinis and other bar favourites, if you’re wary of diving straight in with a frothy Pisco Sour. Bolivian DJs (nope, we’ve never heard of a Bolivian DJ either) man the decks until the small hours, so you’ve got a chance to dance off the booze.
Entry is free until 2am, but membership is required after this and can be obtained at the bar for £10 (available to those aged 23 and over).
Bid farewell to nights out ending early via a trip to McDonalds - the Pisco Embassy is here to save your weekend.
