This new spot is the perfect place to enjoy indulgent desserts, quality cocktails and dance the night away all in a cool and vibrant atmosphere.
The menu has been created by Dorian Picard, a Pastry Chef from Provence who was previously at Gordon Ramsay’s Maze and the Club Gascon. Determined to alter the perception of dessert being seen as an afterthought, Picard is bringing his artistry into the spotlight. Inspired by the cocktail menu, he has matched the desserts to the tasting notes of the cocktails, bringing out some fabulous complementary flavours.
The 12 strong cocktail list is sophisticated without being overcomplicated. Many of the signature cocktails utilise unusual ingredients such as seaweed and salted caramel, while showing off new ways of using traditional ingredients such as beetroot and homemade syrups.
With a Martin Audio sound system (Ministry Of Sound and Fabric), and residencies from London and Paris’s hottest DJs, Basement Sate’s music is the icing on the cake (pun intended); a genuine haven for music lovers who are looking for modern sounds away from the mainstream. Throughout the week, jazz, electronic hip hop and instrumental will provide a chilled out vibe. And at the weekend, guest and resident DJs will play a mix of soulful and deep house as the bar takes on a high-octane party atmosphere.
