Stop in for lunch and dinner and there is an array of small and larger plates all designed for sharing whilst sampling the extensive drinks menu. Our favourites were the warm, rich and crispy AFJ pork scratching; Brixham crab and fennel rolls; and the larger Tattie pancake, woodland mushrooms and Neal’s Yard creme fraiche. You however absolutely cannot go past the Black badger bean hummus, we could have devoured a vat of it.
When it comes to cocktails, Ask for Janice has gin covered. There’s almost every gin in the world (or a pretty good go at it), and a few cocktail specials available too. On tap or by the bottle, there is a nice selection of local craft beers, so make sure you try a few with a 1/3 pint flight for a fiver.
